Almari baby bergerak

Assalamualaikum Mommies!

Today I would like to share about the solution I discovered to a hassle in planning baby's clothes to go to the babysitter, when you have two homes.

Saya, suami, and anak memang ada two homes yang sentiasa terbuka untuk kami, which is umah parents saya and of course umah family suami dalam area kota bharu.  Jarak masa between hanya 10 minit (kalau tak jam lah).

Jadi, kelam kabut saya adalah kami akan tidur tak tentu kat mana. Encik hubby pulak berulang ke machang (around sejam dari KB). Tempat kerja saya dalam KB jugak so Saya Takde masalah sangat.  Tetapi, bila suami kena mengajar kelas pagi, dia kena bertolak pagi. Jadi kami tidur kt umah parents saya sebab dpt jimat up to 20 minit traffic time.  Weekends pulak xtentu jugak. Kalau hubby kena mengajar weekend atau Saya ada program weekend, prefer duduk umah parents sebab adik2 ramai boleh tolong jaga baby....Haaaa.

Bila ada dua rumah ni jadi laaaaa kelam kabut sebab barang kena seolah-olah bahagi dua!! Bayangkan barang baby yang macam2 kecik besau ada kena track down duduk kt rumah mana. "Kt umah sini ke sana...?" that's what is always in my head. Yessss, kelam kabut!

Mula Mula dulu bahagi lah. Ada 4 pasang sini then 4 pasang sana yang sure cuci. Just in case. Lama-lama tu dah jadi xsure kt umah sana dh tggal brapa pasang baju. Kadang2 seluar kt umah sana Sebab bocor sana, then bajunya kt sini. Haaaa.

SO MY ULTIMATE SOLUTION was to just have a mobile baby cabinet. Huhu. Bukan cabinet sangat pon. Babysitter bag tu lah jadi almari bergerak. Kalau dah siap lipat baju je, terus masukkan dlm beg. Tak payah kelam kabut pagi2 check baju cukup ke tak... Jadi apa yang bawak ke babysitter, itulah yang bawak pg mana2. Memang sentiasa kena dlm kreta bersama. So, kalau hubby tiba2 decide tido Umah tu, hah! Baby dah ready with his ALMARI BERGERAK. Heeeee~

Lega bangat Ummi TAK PAYAH KALUT simpan baju pagi2. AlhamduliLLAH.

A new schedule for a new semester

Bismillah.

Tomorrow will be an exciting but challenging day!!  The past three weeks into work was not really challenging to find time to pump milk because my students were still on their semester break.  So that meant flexible adjustable time for me to pump. Now that the  semester is starting again, classes will be starting again!!! So it's no longer flexible hours... now it's pumping according to my class timetable.

I have 18 credit hours of teaching each week. For us lecturers, that's quite a lot of hours because it doesn't include hours needed for clerical work etc... So for each day most of my breaks between classes I'm privileged to only about 1-2 hours... That is the time I have to eat, solat, prepare for classes... And now to pump milk!

Hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Oh ALLAH.. ALLAHumma yassir wala tu 'assir ya ALLAH... May YOU ease everything for me.  Indeed I'm doing all this for the sake of my dear son YOU bestowed to me to take care of in the most decent manner possible.

Rule of Thumb in handling expressed breast milk (EBM)

This took me weeks to remember! Tapi demi anak..for the sake of my dear son, I FORCED myself to memorize it. Phewh~

It's not easy to pump our precious milk isn't it? So don't let it go to waste just because of our own ignorance!

Sakit belakang2 nak pump tengah malam lah, in between office hours lah...

Sooooo, have to remember how long can our milk stay on the sofa before we chill it... Or perhaps how many days can we have the caregiver keep the same bottle of milk chilled before it goes bad.

Remember,  this is THE RULE OF THUMB! I once gave my son Umar 3 bottles of milk which I had thawed two days before, since he stayed home that day not going to the babysitter.  The next day my poor boy had diarrhea.... The poor thing! Sniff~ I promised myself after that that I would be more alert on the RULE OF THUMB.

Number your milk bottles!

Once we start working we tend to get all confused on how to have our baby's caregiver or pengasuh or babysitter (or whatever you may call them)
After a week sending my son Umar to his babysitter, my sister taught me to number bottles passed to her everyday...

Here, my sister Azhani shared this Diagram of how to handle EBM. really useful...
